The Health Information Management program at YTI Career Institute (YTI) can be completed fully online in as few as 20 months. Graduates earn an Associate in Specialized Technology degree and will learn skills like:

• Works with computers to process information

Insurance Claims Analyst

Duties:

• Reviews insurance claims
• Confirms clients' policies
• Updates data from completed claims
• Ensures payment

Chief Privacy Officer (Compliance Officer)

Duties:

• Creates, executes, and maintains privacy procedures and policies
• Uses and handles data that complies with state and federal HIPPA regulations
• Communicates with other staff regarding the best practices for client information privacy
• Suggests new ideas to maintain compliance

Health Data Analyst

Duties:

• Analyzes health care data
• Interprets information
• Understands billing claims
• Explains results of data to senior-level employees

Data Quality Analyst

Duties:

• Executes databases to create more efficient ways of storing and collecting data
• Finds trends in data
• Interprets and analyzes information
• Performs data analysis
