A Message From Our President and CEO
Hope all is well with everyone. Every night I have been reflecting on the events of the day and making a few notes.
So here goes a few thoughts on faith. What does it mean to have faith? When you have faith, you trust or believe in something or someone very strongly. This noun comes from the Old French word feid, meaning "faith, belief, trust, confidence, pledge." My experience is it is easy to have faith when everything is working out….it is much more difficult to have faith when things are not working out. This is when we need to have the most faith. We need to work through getting knocked down. We need to get back up and get back at it. A huge step in faith is to take the first step. Faith is following a leader who has a plan and who has the faith to follow the plan (think of a map and construction and or traffic) and adjust accordingly. A big part of this requires communication and understanding.
Remember, to have faith requires us to take the first step. Faith is jumping in the deep end and knowing everything will be OK. Think about the first time you did something new or unseen for you (like jumping into the deep end of the pool).
If we survive the storm, we can outdo the norm.
To have more than more than most, we must do more than most. We must believe more than most, must learn, must sacrifice more than most. Have faith everything will work out. Keep working and learning. Continue to evolve and adapt. Learn new ways. Mistakes and setbacks are opportunities, learning moments. A new door opens up. Persistency will pay off. Make sure our story/plan is one of strength. Make sure our story/plan is one of someone or a team who refused to give up. Refused to settle. Refused to be normal. Make sure our story/plan is one of someone or a team who gave back and brought someone or a teammate with you. Our results will define us. Our adjustments or pivots will define us. This defines our character. It's not easy, but it's worth it.
Thank you for your continued support. Have faith, our current situation will pass and we will be significantly different on the other side. We need to have an open mind that we are leaving many current practices in the past and moving forward into a new world.
