Upon successful completion of the Diesel Technician program, students will develop essential skills in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, brake systems, drivetrains, and electronics. Through hands-on training, they will learn to troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, inspect and adjust both air and hydraulic brake systems, and address issues with transmissions, differentials, and axles. The program will also emphasize electronics diagnostics, preparing students to work with modern vehicle electrical systems, including sensors and control units.

Diesel Technician Licenses, Certifications, Credentials
There are no state-based licensing requirements in Pennsylvania for Diesel Mechanics. The Diesel Technology Program through curriculum and industry modeled labs, prepares students to take the ASE Heavy Truck Certifications if they choose.
