At YTI Career Institute (YTI), the Medical Billing and Coding program can be completed fully online. This career focuses on the business, administration, and office side of the medical profession, with a focus on proper coding, medical record security, documentation, and billing.

While in this program, students will work towards earning their diploma. Students are also prepped to take the Certified Professional Coder (CPC) exam administered by the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC), or another coding certification exam of their choice.

The Medical Billing and Coding field may be a great career option for you. Employment for individuals in the field is projected to grow 9% from 2020-2030. This is due to the increase in medical appointments, which results in a greater amount of records to code and bill for reimbursement. In addition to the general job outlook, there are various specific fields you may be able to get involved in post-graduation. These include:
