Pastry Arts is one of the few professions and career choices that combine passion, creativity and business with delicious works of art. Today's talented pastry chefs and bakers have a variety of rewarding career opportunities. Many pastry arts professionals find themselves working in fine restaurants, hotels, specialty bakeries and country clubs. A bakery manager and baker's assistant might find additional employment opportunities with baked goods manufacturers or in grocery store bakery departments.

- In February 2015 the Pastry Arts program was awarded the ACF's Exemplary Status. The Exemplary Programs symbolize the highest educational standards recognized by the American Culinary Federation Education Foundation Accrediting Commission (ACFEFAC).

LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, CREDENTIALS
Graduates of the Pastry Arts program are eligible to receive certification as a Certified Pastry Culinarian (CPCC) through the American Culinary Federation (ACF) as long as they are a member of ACF prior to graduation.
Students have the opportunity to earn their ServSafe Sanitation Certification.

On Campus Labs
- Campus Lab Hours Day Program: 9am - 3pm
- 2-3 Lab sessions per week, based on course needs
- Campus Lab Hours Evening Program: 5pm - 9pm
- 2-3 Lab sessions per week, based on course needs
Online Learning
- Students will need approximately 25-30 hours per week for instruction, labs, activities, reading assignments, and homework
- All materials are accessible in an asynchronous format 24 hours a day/7 days a week
- First week includes acclimation to the systems
