Health Information Management

Students in YTI Career Institute's Health Information Management program are taught how to gather, analyze and disseminate health information. In this 20-month program, students are provided learning opportunities in all areas of health information; including legal aspects of health information, medical coding and billing, data analysis and the revenue cycle. The program content is built on the rigorous standards of CAHIIM (The Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education). This accreditation allows our students to sit for the RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician) exam upon successful completion of their program. Certification is key to advancement in this industry. Graduates of YTI's Health Information Management program earn an Associate in Specialized Technology degree. This program is now offered 100% online.

Medical Billing and Coding

As a specialty field within health information management, YTI Career Institute's Medical Billing and Coding program focuses on medical billing and coding functions through various billing, coding and classification systems courses. In this 10-month program, students learn the concepts of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology. They learn scheduling and front-office computer functions, and how to communicate professionally with healthcare providers and patients. After graduation, students may earn a coding certification through the AAPC (American Academy of Professional Coders). Graduates of YTI's Medical Billing and Coding program earn a diploma. This program is also offered 100% online.
