Can You Use FAFSA for Trade School?
The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) can be helpful for students getting ready to further their education. At a trade school, filing for your FAFSA is doable and may be an important step for you. There are steps to take and things to know prior to filing for your FAFSA:
Creating Your FSA ID
- FSA ID: Federal Student Aid Identification
- Needed to complete the key components of financial aid
- Sign the FAFSA
- Sign the Master Promissory Note (MPN)
- Sign the Entrance Loan Counseling
- Sign the Exit Loan Counseling
Before You Start
- Make sure you have:
- FSA IDs
- Social security number
- Federal income statements
- W-2s
- Bank and brokerage statements
- Check the FAFSA deadline
