Ever since she was little, Devon Morley was always fascinated by going to the dentist. She never imagined how easy it would be to turn her passion into a career. She decided to attend YTI Career Institute because a dental assistant who assisted in cleaning her teeth, spoke very highly of YTI's program.

Devon felt that her education at YTI was unlike any other because she got hands-on experience to practice lab procedures. She said "it was a challenge" that she was "willing and motivated to meet." It wasn't always easy keeping up. Devon lives in Chambersburg, PA and would make the long commute to the York campus. The long drive took a toll on her and her finances. She also had to find a balance between work and school, but it helped to have people, including her husband and family, who supported her along the way. She even made lifelong friends and she still keeps in contact with many of her classmates. Devon said the staff was very helpful and understanding, especially Mrs. Barton.

Devon said she "absolutely loves" what she's doing now. She was hired out of her externship. Her career offers consistency, but it's far from a boring routine. She said it's challenging at times and "very rewarding." The best advice she can offer others is that whatever your goals are, it requires a lot of hard work. If you enroll in an accelerated program, prepare yourself for a busy schedule. YTI offers the support to help you stay on track and ultimately reach your goals. She said she loved her experience at YTI and "would definitely recommend it to anyone who asked."

Devon graduated from the Dental Assisting program at YTI Career Institute in February 2015. She works full time as a Dental Assistant at Keystone Dental Center and works directly with the medical director. She has many responsibilities and at times it can be very demanding, but she couldn't be happier.
