The American Design and Drafting Association (ADDA) approved a renewal of Professional Curriculum Certification of YTI Career Institute's Computer Aided Drafting and Design program.

This external validation of the Computer Aided Drafting and Design program sets it apart from others and confirms that this program educates students on the topics to be a Drafting or Design professional and to meet the workforce and employer needs.

The American Design Drafting Association (ADDA) is an international non-profit, professional membership and educational organization born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma in 1948. The organization was conceived by a dedicated and enthusiastic group of oil and gas piping drafters who were involved in various phases of design drafting. This group consisted of highly specialized industry drafters, educational instructors, piping designers, and engineering personnel. In 1948, this group incorporated in the State of Oklahoma as the Bartlesville Draftsmen’s Club. This is the earliest known drafting club, association or society. This group would eventually be considered as our founding association.

ADDA Curriculum Certification provides recognition to schools and training facilities whose curriculum in “Design Drafting” or “Digital Design (Graphic Arts)” meets or exceeds industry standards. ADDA Curriculum Certification acknowledges the standards established and approved by the ADDA, and supported by related organizations such as the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, the International Code Council, the American Society of Testing Materials, and Association of Career and Technical Educators.
