YTI's Health Information Technology program teaches the administrative skills needed to secure a variety of positions in the healthcare setting.

The skills obtained in this program include but are not limited to diagnostic and procedural coding, reimbursement and revenue cycle management, use of electronic health records, medical law and ethics, managing health data, communications, and statistics.

CAHIIM Accredited

As of June 23, 2014, the Health Information Technology program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM). Graduates and future students are eligible to sit for the national RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician) exam. RHIT's possess a unique set of skills, including data collection, analysis and management, clinical coding and healthcare reimbursement, all relevant in today's healthcare environment.
