As of June 23, 2014, the Health Information Technology program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM). Graduates and future students are eligible to sit for the national RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician) exam. RHIT's possess a unique set of skills, including data collection, analysis and management, clinical coding and healthcare reimbursement, all relevant in today's healthcare environment.
