Spring A/C Tips

Spring A/C Tips

Spring is in the air and hot weather is just around the corner. Now is the time to test and prepare your air conditioning unit!

In YTI Career Institute's Career HVACR program, students gain skills relating to the mechanical, electrical, and chemical components in air conditioning systems. They learn to install and service both residential and commercial air conditioners, including heat pumps. Here are a few recommendations to keep in mind during the upcoming cooling season:

  • Check and replace the furnace filter
  • Make sure all registers and return grills are open and unobstructed
  • Make sure the outdoor unit is clear of debris and vegetation
  • Have your HVAC service company perform a seasonal inspection on your system
